Biography:

Patricia Barber is the author of First Time Tenant and lives outside of Reading with three cats and a house trained husband.

A serial entrepreneur, she has run businesses in a wide variety of industries including healthcare, insurance, lettings & property management, retail, tarot reading and catering. She has owned and run her family based Inventory Company since 1986, and became chairman of the inventory clerk's regulatory body, the AIIC, in 2006.

She holds diplomas in Relaxation Therapy and Holistic Diagnosis and also works as a Foot Health Practitioner.

When she's not working or writing, she organises a local singing group and has been active in the British Fantasy Society where she ran conventions and organised their annual short story competition as well as providing administrative support to their special publications branch.

2005: First Time Tenant. Published by Right Way Books, this useful book tells the first time tenant all they need to know to navigate the pitfalls of renting.

1995 - 2000: Local correspondent for the Reading Evening Post.

1987: Edited & wrote the Fairview Community News.

1985 - 1986: Contributed articles for daughter Jenny's small children's magazine - The Crazy Characters Club.

1982 - 1984: Edited & produced the Meadowbank Community Association newsletter.

1982: Had 3 articles on travel and psychology published in Health & Efficiency.
